Castle Howard, across the Great Lake, half imp. Watercolour, incl p+p

This is loosely done on watercolour paper 300gsm, so it did not need stretching. This is another, older watercolour sketch ( 2008) showing Castle Howard from the road, on the west of the house leading to Slingsby and on to Hovingham. I spotted this view and was impressed at seeing the house emerging from, and dominating the landscape. The lake in the foreground is well populated with coots and other waterfowl.
