The Minster at Beverley is a continuing inspiration both visually and, of course as a reassuring presence speaking of history, sanctuary and faith. On the Westwood pasture where cattle roam freely until the autumn, when the grasses stop actively growing and the weather gets bad is a favourite place for dog walkers, runners, strollers and kite fliers. This view of the Minster which was done after a dog walk shows the thistles in the foreground. They are now flowering, some indeed have gone to seed already and are left untouched by the grazing cattle.
